Jeep Repair: o2 sensor, voltage system, solenoid

Question
I'm not getting power to my O2 sensor on my 89 wrangler. I've also noticed there is no power to the idle solenoid. Do they get power from the same spot? The problem I've been having is I can dirve along fine and all of a sudden I lose idle. If I shut the jeep off, wait a few minutes it's fine again. It's like something has to reset

Answer
If the o2 sensor is a single wire then the sensor is designed to create voltage and not use it.  O2 sensors operate on a zero to one volt range.  I'd tap in to this wire while driving and see what it does.

I'm not familiar with an "idle solenoid".  Where does it go?  I've seen idle control motors/servos and they work on a stepped voltage system.
