Jeep Repair: Airbag Light, passenger side airbags, curtain airbags

Question
My airbag light rarely ever turns off when I'm driving. Is it true that when the airbag light is on, the airbag can deploy at any time? Is there a place I go take my Jeep to where I won't be charged $500.00 and up to fix this problem?

Answer
I need to know the year, make and model for this.

Without knowing the fault code that is being set I have no idea how much it's going to be to make the problem go away.  You could be looking in the $250.00 range or you could end up spending $1500.00  I just don't know.

The airbag systems on 03+ vehicles may have any or ALL of the following components tied in to the passive restraint system:
Airbag on/off switch
Driver's airbag
Clockspring (located between the steering wheel and column
Side Curtain airbags
Airbags that come out of the seats
seat belts
passenger side airbags
instrument cluster
Airbag control modules
Weight sensative seats
dash and body wiring harnesses
fuses

And I'm sure I've missed a few.  Without a specific code I couldn't begin to tell you what to expect to pay
