Jeep Repair: water pump replacement?, water pump replacement, jeep cherokee

hi, my water pump went out today. i like doing my own mechanical work. i'm not sure what i'm getting into. do you have any tricks or tips before i tear into the repair? i own a 1987 jeep cherokee wagoneer, with a.c. also, is there a diagram avalible for the serpatine belt? i would be grateful for any help i can get

I hope this helpful, it is based on the 4.0 engine, I'm not sure if you have it or the 2.5 or V8. If you need any specfics just let me know. If you have the 4.0, this would be the belt diagram: http://www.getahelmet.com/jeeps/maint/belt/diagram.jpg  Just take into consideration the A/C which is not shown here.
