Jeep Repair: Clutch slave cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, jeep cherokee

Question
I have a 1988 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 6cyl. 5 spd and 4wd. I have a leaking clutch slave cylinder and want to find out how to rebuild it.It only has 130,000 miles on it. I am a Jeep certified Tech. but we dont rebuild them at the dealership. I have found a kit for my jeep. Can you help me please?
Thanks Bob

Answer
Rebuilding a slave cylinder is much like rebuilding a wheel brake cylinder. I have found that most slave cylinders are pitted and not rebuildable.
Most manuals have sections on replacing the rubbers seals in a slave cylinder, the only rebuilding there actually is, or you might refer to the instructions included with a rebuild kit.
