Jeep Repair: start, jeep cherokee sport, jeep cherokee

Question
Why does my 1994 jeep cherokee sport, 4.0 liter, 6 cylinder, automatic not start, not even "click" like the starter is engaged, after a short drive?  Is a sensor going bad?  Parking sensor?  When it doesn't start, after I wait about 20 minutes, it turns over?  This doesn't sound like a starter to me?

Answer
Have your Jeep hooked up to a code reader or computer and see if any fault codes come up to point you in the right direction.  The problem would be anything from a battery, to bad or corroded battery cables, a bad ignition switch, a bad ignition module and about anything else in the starting circuit including the alternator.
