Land Rover Repair: landrover tranny, driveshaft, slow speed

i was driving my 1998 discovery, i did a u turn at a slow speed and half way into my turn my truck seemed to slip into neutral. wont go back in gear..

You may have broken an axle, u joint, or driveshaft.  Jack up each wheel in turn and see if any spin free.  Alternately, Your transfer case may have simply shifted into neutral.  The final and least likely possibility is that transmission chose that moment to fail
