Land Rover Repair: heating, head gaskets, expansion tank

Question
i changed my heater core. but it still want he. the top line to the core is cold and the bottom line to the core is warm. i was told that it might have air in the line. is their a way other then vac to get the air out. i have a 1998 range rover 4.6

Answer
You could try reversing the heater pipes.  Also, check that the thermostat is not stuck.  I would also check for blockage in the expansion tank return line.  Finally, make sure the radiator is not blocked and do a block test to ensire that head gaskets have not blown.  These would all affect heater performance.
