Land Rover Repair: starter for a 2002 freelander ( cold start), landrover freelander, electronic problem

I have a landrover freelander 2002 and it does not start, even with the key. There is a new battery on my vehicle. This week it is cold -30 and it does not start. It looks like an electronic problem because there is no respond at all, not with the key, not with the distance starter. Thanks Gilbert

The car may be locked from starting by the security system.  Unfortunately, the only way to find that out would be to take it to a LR dealer or a specialist with the T4 or Autologic test equipment that car talk to the security computer.  There's not way to know at home - it may just sit there and not crank and you could waste a great deal of money replacing parts to no avail.
