Land Rover Repair: Vibration on Free Lander 2005, viscous coupler, free lander

Question
Hi John, I own a Frrelander 2005 Td4. I have recently replaced the right driveshaft seal that connect to the RDI. This is the second time in 7 months. I have also removed the drive train to avoid serious and expensive damage, and I have replaced all 4 tyres. I have has the vehicle for a week, and it is leaking again, and I have a vibration between 80km to 120km, only when a am accelerating. It is not a vibration in the wheels. The entire car starts shaking.

Answer
You may have a bad viscous coupler.  Have a 4 wheel drive expert look at that.  It's not something one can diagnose online but you can tell if you see it in person

If you want to read the procedure to replace the coupler you can buy a day's access to Land Rover's factor support website, www.landrovertechinfo.com
