i was out off roading when i hit a stump in my 94 land rover discovery 200tdi after freeing it from the stump it would turn left it would tun right then when ya turn it back it would go until the wheels are straight and wouldnt turn any further left i noticed the thing that attaches to the sterring bar was bent please help thanks

Hi Sean,

do you mean the drag link bar is bent?  I don't know if that would prevent you from making turns unless it is bent so bad that it brushes against another component.

My first guess would be to disconnect the drag link and see if the steering is stiff. IF it is not, then check your steering ball joints or axel swivels.  If the drag link is remove and your steering is stiff, then you have have a steering column problem.
