Land Rover Repair: Discovery 2, discovery 2, rear diff

Thanks for all the great advise.
When driving at speeds above 90km/h I heat a "clinging" noise from the rear of my truck.
I found a little loose cable at the rear diff and tied it with a cable tie. What is the purpose of this piece of cable and is it fine to have tied it up?

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you tied up back there.  There is no "loose cable."  I suggest you take the vehicle to a LR specialist and have them look under there to see what's going on.
