Land Rover Repair: LR2, pre purchase inspection, sport series

Looking at a 2008 LR2 with 57K miles.  Another preowned has 44k for another $2K.  How critical is the warranty with the LR2?  The consumer reports indicate owners are happy with these vehicles.  What has been your experience?  Thank you

My experience is that these are good vehicles.  But when you look at a car that's just out of warranty and for sale, you have to ask why?  Does it have a big problem?  A careful pre purchase inspection could put that to rest, or you could just buy the in-warranty truck.  But again, I'd stress that these LR2/LR3/RR Sport series are the most reliable Land Rovers ever, by far
