I have a 2000 Discovery that is cutting off intermittedly. How hard is it to replace the ECM? Do you have step by step instructions or know where I can get them? Thanks

I have never seen an ECM cause intermittent cutting out, so I would not jump to that conclusion.  In any case, the ECU must be coded to the vehicle with the LR test system, either an Autologic, a T4 or an IDS.  If you mess with the ECU (disconnecting it, for example) you run the risk of losing the coding/snyc which will necessitate a tow to a shp or dealer with that test gear to make it start again.
