Land Rover Repair: 1998 RangeRover V8 4.5 Fuel injection, crank sensor, presure valve

Question
Problum a tank full of bad fuel ,fix up so far tank cleaned out new fuel filter, fuel line sucked clean petrol comes out at pipe union on fire wall , unscrewed the presure valve on the common rail and fuel in rail also in return pipe, yet motor will not fire
dose the rail require to be pumped up as it has a tyre valve on it
thanks for your help

Answer
The part you refer to as a tire valve is the fuel pressure connector port for a fuel gauge.  The rail does not need to be pumped.  Check for spark.  If no spark is present, try changing the crank sensor.  If there is a spark, check the fuel pressure at the port.  It should be at 30 psi to run.
