Land Rover Repair: Help!!!, haynes book, old land rover

Hey, i have a 88 and bought it from a friend and we thought the fuel pump wasn't working so we took it off to see if it was working, well it was working so we put everything back on it the way it was and put gas in it and tried to start it and it won't hit any hints on how to get it too start???thanks.

Haynes and Chilton both sell excellent workshop manuals on the old 88 Land Rovers.  You can buy them on Amazon.  There is nothing special in troubleshooting an old Land Rover as compared to any other old gas engine car. The Haynes book in particular has good diagnostics.  Compression, spark, fuel in the right order.  You need to focus on the basics on those old trucks.
