Land Rover Repair: three amigos, proper test equipment, land rover discovery

Question
I own a 2002 Land Rover Discovery SE7 with 88,000 miles.  for several months my ABS, TC, HD lights have been coming on randomly.  They come on when I'm not even using the brakes.  I can be just idiling.  nine out of ten times they will come on when I go in and out of a certain driveway that has a slight dip that I enter at a slight angle.  Otherwise, completly random and not weather related.  My, mechanic, not a LR specialist has done a rear brake job and replaced the front passenger side wheel sensor since this started.  This did not do the trick.  My front brakes were replaced when I had this problem before and it  cleared up.  Also, had hub and sensor replaced year or so ago on driver's front side.  So, these repairs seemed logical.  I had the LR software test and no faults were found.  Do you know what would cause these light to come on?

Answer
If the lights are on, there ARE faults in the brake system.  The statement that you had no faults is wrong.   Either the mechanic does not have the proper test equipment, or he does not understand the systems or its use, or something is missing in the explanation to you.

Effective diagnosis of the ABS will require a t4 or IDS system (what dealers use) or Autologic. Make sure the shop has one of those systems, and find a new shop if necessary. Otherwise, you are just guessing.
