Land Rover Repair: land rover discovery II , trans oil light, land rover discovery, land rover discovery ii

Question
For some reason The website is not letting me ask a follow up question so I've come back here.

My mechanic put in "BG" auto tran s conditioner and flushed fluid. He also swapped another sensor.

What would you do addtionally to correct "red warning temp trans oil light" ?

If the transmission was sent out to RF in Connecticut what is cost to repair/replace and is there a warranty
My phone is  might be easier

Answer
I do not know what I'd do with the warning light without seeing the vehicle and evaluating the actual conditions.  Overhaul of the transmission - if needed - would cost from $1,500 to $3,000 depending upon the damage inside.  The upper end of the price range is what a factory exchange unit costs, as a point of reference.

Labor to get in in and out is probably under $1000 but some time might be spent in diagnosis.

I would not jump to the conclusion that you haev transmission failure without seeing the vehicle, though.
