Land Rover Repair: 2001 Range Rover HSE not starting, scan tool, autologic

Question
I have a 2001 Range Rover, the other day I shut it off with the windows down, the doors unlocked, and put the keys on the dash.  When I came back to it the windows had rolled up the doors had locked and since then it hasn't started.  I used a scan tool and got a code for anti-theft malfunction.  It turns like it wants to start but dosn't and everything else electrical is functioning.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,   Jake.

Answer
Rolling the windows up and locking the vehicle is not part of the regular feature set of that truck's alarm system.  Therefore you are describing a malfunction or the actions of an aftermarket add-on alarm.

At this point - if it has a security lockout - there is nothing anyone can do without the Land Rover T4 or Autologic test systems to clear the security problem.  If you know an independent with that gear, you can go there.  Otherwise, it's time for a trip to the dealer.
