Land Rover Repair: passenger front door latch, air suspension system, door latch

i took my 1995 range rover to the dealer and they said that i need an air suspension compressor and front passenger door latch and that the truck wont come off the bump stops until i get both parts because they both go hand in hand,is that true ?

Answer
The air suspension will not go up if it has a faulty compressor and the air suspension system is also disabled when the doors are open.  A faulty door or trunk latch (or and unlatched door) could, therefore, disable the suspension.  If the computer shows the door as being unlocked, the latch will need to be replaced.
