Land Rover Repair: please help! Rover wont start., fuel pressure gauge, spark plug wire

I have a 95 discovery with a manual 5sp. It had not been started in 4 days then when I tried to start it it just wound over and over and wouldn't start or hardly even offer to start. I changed the plug wires and got it to start and it ran well, HOWEVER...when I shut it off, it failed to start again, it just kept turning over..it did make a couple offers though. What should I do? Can you help?

Your first step is to see if the vehicle has spark.  Next, hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see if it has fuel.  Chances are, one or both are missing.

My guess is that the spark plug wire replacement is a red herring.  Something else is going on.  Check those two things and we'll see where to go based upon what you find
