auto matic transmission is very clunky in low gears especially when cold

Answer
Here in the United States we are told to replace the transmission with a factory exchange unit when that happens.  I've never tried to take one apart and repair it.  It is certainly possible that repair practice is different in your country, but that's what we do here, and Land Rover supports it with a core exchange program.

The only service we do is replacement of the special fluid, and occasionally we see a failed controller
