Land Rover Repair: 2003 land rover dicovery 2, land rover dicovery, coolant leak

Question
I noticed coolant leak yesterday from the bottom of the truck.  I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact location of the leak, but it looks like is running down the edge of the rim between the engine and transmission case.  Can you help me with some possible places to look at
thanks

Answer
The most likely answer is that the plenum is leaking.  That causes coolant to run down the back center.  It's also possible you have a leak from one (probably the right) cylinder head.  They can also leak in back.  If you put the truck on a lift you can see the edges of the heaqds, so you can tell which leak.  It's not unusual to find all of them leaking and the cure is a valve job and reseal.

Expect $1,000 for a plenum, or $2,500 for heads and plenum in most of the USA

Good luck
