Land Rover Repair: suspension/air, air suspension, coil springs

Question
ok symptoms. my air suspension on my discovery seriesII will lower itself  as i am driving sometimes at speeds over 55mph... it will not raise itself again unless i park and let it sit for about an hour. it will stay raised if parked and not running , unless there is a change in outside temperature  usually around the 32f point, i was wondering if this is a sensor problem , and would it be better to just convert to springs, the compressor works well but it gets over worked with the constant adjusting at lights on hills and just plain moving , could the sensor be at fault ?

Answer
You could have a sensor problem, but all the parts of the system are getting old and they all wear out.  For that reason, I suggest converting to coil springs and saving the aggravation of repeated failures.  I've seen too many situations where you fix one thing and something else breaks and it just never ends.
