Land Rover Repair: Range Rover Classic 2.5 TDi Manual, range rover classic, rangie

Question
Range Rover classic 1989, (in ex con for it's age) I've had it 3 years. It started life as a 4L vogue automatic but was changed some years ago to a 2.5 TD1 manual diesel. Not really had any major problems with it but the gears have started getting sticky and stiff after driving a while. It seems to get worse as the engine gets warmer. I had a replacement transmission box last year and had no probs till last week after my ex allegedly put trans fluid in the box(not sure if he did or not or put wrong oil in). Any ideas please?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Bridjitte,

take the Rangie to a garage and have the tranny fluid replaced.  This will remove any doubt about what was installed by your ex.  Once this is done, you'll see if the gear changes are smoother.

Gear shifting difficulties could be fluid related so have this replaced before further steps.

Best of luck,
