Land Rover Repair: Door lock, discovery 2, security controller

Question
I recently locked my 2002 discovery 2 with the key and when i returned i opened it with the key instead of the remote, now when i try to open it with the remote it wont open the drivers side unless i use the key Thanks.

Chances are the lock actuator in the driver door has failed.  It's a 200-some dollar part; expect 2-3 hours top change it.  The only way to test this will be to connect one of the specialist LR test systems and read the live data from the security controller.
