Land Rover Repair: valve cover gasket, valve cover gasket, ac compressor

My valve cover gaskets need changing and I am of a mind to do it myself. Do
you happen to have step by step instructions for this task? I certainly appreciate
anything you can tell me. It's an '02 Disco.

Valve cover gasket replacement is an all-day job.  There are no special tricks to it.  You remove the intake plemun, the alternator, ac compressor, secondary air pipes, and everything else in the way, then take off the valve covers and change the gaskets.

If you are going to remove the stuff to reach the valve covers, I really recommend replacement of the intake seals too as they are also prone to leaking.

In addition, if the igintion wires are old I'd change them too.
