Land Rover Repair: rear air suspension, air suspension, freeway

Question
the air suspension on my 2001 discovery goes up in the morning when first started drive around 10 miles and goes down.I parked and started goes up ,stayed up for 6 days ,goes down only when moving, any idea?

Answer
From your description of the suspension sitting down after a 10 mile or so drive I would think the the suspension has a leak or leaks.  It could be that the springs are leaking in the freeway position and the compressor is shutting off because it is overworking, thus causing it to overheat.  It then works again when cooled.
