Land Rover Repair: 90 county 3.9, rotor arm, fuel leak

Question
have a 90 county, parked for a fuel leak fixed tank installed, wouldn't run. checked and fuel pump needed replaced. finally got around to replacing pump. been sitting now two years. not primary vehicle... turn key starts right up. however check engine light is dimmly on. not bright tho. but truck drives up and down driveway. go to get it inspected and discover that  it drives fine[up to 45-50mph] till it warms up, then it starts cutting out, like it's running out of gas. ease off throttle and drop down to 1500 rpm will run smooth 20-30mph. let sit till cold will start right up run fine about 1/2 mile till warm then back to cutting out shuttering over 1500-1600rpm. before parking it ran fine. have checked air filter not obstructed. [mice] where do i start??

Answer
Start by replacing the fuel filter and checking the fuel pressure; although you have replaced the fuel pump, it would not be the first time someone has purchased a faulty part. Next, clean the connector on side of the distributor and replace the rotor arm as they fail often.  Also, check the coil, replacing if neccessary and check and clean the connectors on the ignition coil as this is the junction at which the fuel injection picks up the signal to run the injectors.
