Land Rover Repair: transfer case, fuse panel, electrical issues

we have a 2002 4.6,,,the issue is "no gears",,,no park,,no R,,,nothing...the read out on the dash indicates the transfer case is in neutral,,,,,we have had/have electrical issues with this 4.6,,,,,bought it used a few months back and of course no manual,,,,,,can you assist in helping me get this transfer case out of neutral??? or do I have other serious issues,,,,when you move the gear selector from R to Park,,,there is a chattering noise like the transfer case is in neutral,,,,help if you can

Hi Tim,

There are several free downloads of the workshop manual, including the owners manual, google "land rover rave CD".

the "transfer case neutral" message is traditionally caused by a fuse in spot # 11 in the fuse-panel under the passenger seat, this is used for flat towing.  If it's an electrical problem causing it check this circuitry first.
