Land Rover Repair: Range Rover with manual heat issue, center vent, floor vents

Question
Hello
I have a 94 Range with manual heat controls. Two fan mounted on the passenger side. It seems the only way to get heat out of it is to close all the vents and force it out the floor but it seems a bit "mickey mouse"  Is it possible someone pulled something out of it? The only diagrams I can find to help are for auto climate control and they do not look the same. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Michael

Answer
You are correct - if you open the vent that will be cold outside air.  To get heaat you must close the center vent and it comes out the floor vents and the side vents at either corner of the dash.  Center vent is cold air or nothing.  That may seem strange to you in the context of other cars but that's how it is.
