Land Rover Repair: hazards & horn, radio repairs, radio repair

Question
So I just bought a '97 land rover disco and my horn and hazards do not work.
When I bought the car the radio was not installed but I was given a new radio
to put in myself. My question is if these are related to the radio and when I
install that they may work or if the three are separate problems. Can I fix
them myself or should I take it to a garage? What should I look for if they are
connected?  Also, I was told that since these security problems could be
related it may have been broken into. Is this possibility true?  Thanks for your
help!

Answer
Hi Shealin,

it is true that the horn and hazards are an intricate part in security.

Check satellite fuse 'C' (bottom of main fuse in footwell) for fuses 1 and 5 to see if they were removed.  Chances are this was done to deactivate the alarm while the radio was removed.

As for radio repair, an experienced radio install shop that deals with highend vehicles (European cars) should be able to handle the installation then activation.

I would not suggest a DIY install...too complicated.

Here's a website that may help with LR radio repairs etc. :
