I have a Land Rover Discovery II.
My friend told me to purchase a product called "Restore". It's a super thick purple liquid that is supposed to "fill in seals" and "increase compression".
Is this product safe or even beneficial to use on a Land Rover?
AnswerI have not personally used this, but it is a well known product. Most of these oil additives do have beneficial uses, just make sure you buy the correct additive for the problem/concern that you are trying to address. I find an upper cylinder lubricant, which frees up sticky valves, lifters, and piston rings, to be exceedingly useful on these vehicles.
