Land Rover Repair: Windshield defrost, specialist test, dash vents

I have a 2002 Freelander. When I use the button for the front defrost, only the right side of the windshield clears rapidly. The left side stays frosted until the blower can defrost it. I would like to be able to correct this problem as I enjoy the rapid defrosting of part of the windshield but would rather have it work completely.

I am sorry but I can't really point you anywhere easy.  All the valves for the dash vents are hard to get at and any of this is very time consuming.  And the automatic system is only accessible through the specialist test systems.  You can go to www.landrovertechinfo.com and buy access to the workshop manuals but this is not really a DIY job.
