Land Rover Repair: Speed Limit message - overspeed warning, range rover hse, limit message

Question
As I was driving my 2001 Range Rover HSE on the highway, the car
beeped at me six times and the message "Speed Limit 20" came on
the screen.  When I slowed under 20 mph, the message went away.
When I accelerated over 20 mph, the car beeped six times again
and the message came up.  This happened every time I went over
20 mph during the course of my trip.  What does this mean?

Answer
Hi Kirsten,

Sounds like your Trip computer overspeed warning has been activated.  This function is activated by pressing switch 2 (bell symbol) on your light switch arm beside your steering wheel.

This function is explained in detail within your owner's manual (see page 123).

Once you exceed the preset speed limit, the message is displayed and a warning sound is issued.

Just press switch 2 again and you should see SPEED LIMIT OFF.

Best of luck,

JohnMc
