hi i have just bought a landrover discovery td5 and when you start off it has the self levelling suspension but it is making a loud noise until it gets level someone has told me that the air pump is faulty would this be correct?

depends on the noise, if it's a rumbling vibration it's probably the pump mounts, if the pump was faulty it wouldn't come up to height.  You definately have leaks as it should not sink down overnight.  How long till it sinks, and how fast does it come up?
