Saab Repair: 85 900S Alternator Belt Question, crankshaft pulley, anchorage alaska

Question
We have a Saab with a very noisy squealing belt (mostly when it is cold).  The noise ceases when the clutch is engaged.  My husband thinks the alternator belt needs to be adjusted would would like to know how best to go about this.  He says there should be a second bolt(?) but it is hidden and he needs to know where it is.  Can you help with the location of the bolt and/or give us your recommendation on what to do?
Thank you!

Answer
The noise could be from the release bearing.(clutch)
If the belts are tight, the noise can be from the crankshaft pulley.
The alternator have only the upper adjuster, check for play ,because sometimes the bracket bushings are in bad condition.
