Land Rover Repair: 2002 Disco2 Wiper not turning, wiper assembly, spidle

Hi there, my wiper motor turns on but the left wiper does not move. i can hear the motor turning and the wiper arm connected to the spidle turns freely unlike the other side which is locked solid. how do i replace and repair this problem?

It sounds like the locking nut on the base of the wiper arm has come loose.  Set the blade to the desired position and lock the nut up.  If this does not cure the problem, the wiper assembly must be replaced, but I have never seen one broken and never had to change one.
