Land Rover Repair: land rover electrical fault,2001 manual diesel, alarm sensor, testbook

Question
alarm goes off generally anytime when there has been heavy rain and hazard lights, indicators and central locking wont work, there is also a symbol showing on the dashboard which cant seem to find an explanation for it appears beside the mileage and looks like a B with a diagonal line through it,any ideas?.

Answer
Hi Alex,

could it be the Bonnet (Hood) alarm being triggered?  It has a rubber conical cover, is located inside the engine compartment and rests against the hood or bonnet when it is closed.

Check to see if rubber is seated properly.  You can easily remove and replace it.

Otherwise, dealer testbook should be able to tell you which alarm sensor is at fault.

Large B with diagonal line is default display transmission selector
position.  No?
