Land Rover Repair: 97 Disco NOT STARTING, inertia switch, fuel pump relay

Question
I AWOKE ONE MORNING LAST WEEK  AND MY 97 L.R. DISCO. WILL NOT START. THERES NO SOUND NO CLICKING NO PUMPING NOTHING. CAN U HELP MY. MY LR IS NOW STRANDED AT A REPAIR SHOP. NO KNOWS WHAT TO DO. IS THERE A KILL SWITCH FOR THE ALARM? PLEASE HELP ME?

Answer
Hi Theresa,

yes, its the inertia switch in the engine compartment.  It has a unique rubber cap/button.  Press down on the cap to reset the switch.

Otherwise, it could be the ignition switch, the starter or solenoid on the stater (my guess).

Have repair shop test main relay and fuel pump relay to see if the is 'juice'.  Should feel a click if they are working.
