Land Rover Repair: 2001 Range Rover Radio, rover radio, troubleshooting steps

At first none of the buttons on my 2001 Range Rover radio would work and neither did the buttons on the steering wheel. It would just stay on the same radio station all the time.

I checked all my fuses and they were good. So i took the radio out of the dash and unplugged everything and checked the fuse behind the radio and that looked good also.

I plugged it back and now it wont even power on anymore.

Is my radio officially dead?  Any other troubleshooting steps?

Is it easy to repair these?

Hi Max,

sure sounds the radio is dead.  When you reinstalled it, did it prompt you for a security code or was it completely DOA?

I would not bother with repair and simply buy a new one... here's a website that can help:

They'll do an exchange and you'll save a bundle.  Well worth considering.  They can also do repairs but say parts are hard to find.
