Land Rover Repair: Small Rattle in Front end, careful driver, installation error

I notice a small rattle in the front end of my LR DISCO II (2002).  I check underneath and notice the shocks were both loose where they attach to the bottom of the coil spring.  Truck rides awesome and shocks are good.   Should I be worried?

sure hope you've fixed that.  Not too common to read about loose shocks so I can only imagine what would cause such a problem.  Perhaps road conditions, OEM shock condition, installation error, engine mounts, all can contribute to this problem.  I won't mention driving type as I'm sure you're a careful driver.  Do you off-road very much?

If you've taken care of this problem, I doubt you'll have much to worry about.  Just make sure your shocks are not due for replacement and that they were not damaged as a result of becoming loose.
