Land Rover Repair: Rear view mirror, land rover lr3, rear view mirror

My kid bumped my rear view mirror above dash and it fell off. it looks like hexagon bolt to snap back in. I have messed with this for 2 days. before i rip it off can someone help me with the trick on how to snap back in....

It sounds like you broke the ball out of the mirror, which may have ruined the mirror.  But I can't be sure without seeing it.  The only thing I can suggest is this - go to the dealer and ask the parts department for a new mirror.  Open it up.  If what your kid broke off is a part of the whole thing, then I've answered your question.  You need a mirror.

Alternately, you can go to LRs website, www.landrovertechinfo.com and buy a day's access and look at the pictures.
