Land Rover Repair: EAS COMPRESSOR, air drier, leaks

Question
Hi Jon,

I was just wondering how often does a normal compressor runs? I have noticed mine runs quite often. When parking and when starting and warming up the car. There are no leaks that I know of from the suspensions. I had it sat overnight and it was good.
The air drier leak are fixed now. Can it be the compressor seal and valves o rings?

Thanks!

Answer
If you notice the compressor running there are three possibilities:

1) the mounts are bad and it makes too much noise

2) the system has leaks and it really runs too much

3) the compressor is old and worn out and has to run forever to accomplish what used to take a few seconds.
