Land Rover Repair: 1999 Range Rover EAS LOUD, eas system, loud sound

Hi there,

When our EAS system comes on, it vibrates so loudly that it makes the inside of the car sound really loud. I replaced the bushings inside of it but it still makes the loud sound. Is that an indicator that I need to replace the EAS?

Hi Gene,

sounds like a pressure buildup but I'm not sure.  A LR mechanic with EAS experience would give you the answer you need.  I only know that the EAS valve block is at least $2000 ...  if that is the cause of your trouble.

NB:  look to Atlantic British for an EAS alternative for about $950 plus labour.  Overrides the EAS and gives you a traditional ride much like the series I Disco's.
