Land Rover Repair: 03 SE7 4.6 dual battery installation, dual batteries, dual battery setup

Question
I have an 03 SE7 4.6, was wondering if it's even possible to carry dual battery setup under the hood.  It seem pretty tight underneath the hood as it is.   have seem people carrying two smaller battery in place of a regular one.  Currently am carrying a regular Bosch battery...hoping to find a place for a second one without having to swap it for two smaller one.  Please advise...

Hi Kevin,

you have at least two options that I know of ...

You can purchase a dual battery tray ($175+) and replace the original. Here's a link showing a DiscoII with the tray and two batteries sidexside:

Should fit where the original battery was or you can remove jack pump and install it on that side.

The other option you may consider is a specialized battery, like the Odyssey 2150, designed with your DiscoII and all 'the attached toys' in mind.  Here's a website:

Could be a less expensive alternative to dual batteries.
