Land Rover Repair: Radio Code unlock for 1998 Disco I, radio code, best bet

Hi John,

Thank you for offering this forum.  My battery died and, of course, the radio requires the code be input in order to work.  The owners manual we have is not for our vehicle, unfortunately.  Do you know the unlock process for the Disco I?

Hi Morgan,

Your best bet is to contact the local LR dealership and ask them to give you the code.  The code for you vehicle is recorded according to your VIN and/or radio serial number.  You can also request to have the owner's manual for your vehicle.
