Land Rover Repair: 02 Freelander Sunroof, land rover freelander, oiled machine

I have Land Rover Freelander HSE 2002. When opening the sunroof all works out like well oiled machine, but trying to close it is the problem. It doesn't want to close . You "can help" the engine by pulling the sunroof down and close at the same time and it does help. The problem is that is does not close all the way back up. So the part of the engine that is supposed to pull the outside part down and make the roof close doesn't work. So what I should do?

Hi Anu,

sounds like the sunroof is not tracking properly.  Could be worn or broken.  Best to have LR take a look as they have more experience with this then they are willing to admit.  :)

Remote possibility that the motor is faulted.  Perhaps it only needs to be cleaned and reseated by LR.
