Land Rover Repair: 1997 4.6 HSE, blown fuses, rovers north

I just bought a 97 HSE with 92,000 miles and I bought it not running for 3 grand but mint condition, the batt. is new and there is no bad grounds or blown fuses but there is absolutely nothing when you turn on the key. No power and will not crank. No lights or anything.
