Land Rover Repair: Disc Series II, 2000, 82K miles, click sound, tow truck

recently parked on slope, next morn car would not engage out of PARK gear.  Normal "click" sound from brake pedal does NOT seem to be happening.  Do I have to tow to garage, is this something small or perhaps more electrical--thanks for your help

it sounds like there is too much pressure on the parking pin in the transmission for it to pop out, you probably just need a tow up the hill about 3" to 6" to take the pressure off of the transmission.  Us a tow truck or rig with a winch, do NOT do it manually.
