Land Rover Repair: coolant leak 2003 Land Rover Disco II, coolant leak, head gasket

I have a small coolant leak .. turns out to be a head gasket my truck only has 40 thousand and the warranty is up I read it is a command problem with 01-03 disco's  they all seem to leak from the corners of the heads due to a gasket shift '' question '' what do you think about metallic glass sealers such as bar's leaks or car-go metallic for a temporary fix the truck doesn't seem to over heat but mildly shakes when it's stopped at a light

Hi Sal,

I've never had much success with quick fix sealants.  My worry would be the affect it would have on the heater core and rad.  Headgasket job alone is about $1200 at the dealer, heater core is at least $700...  

Yes, its true that many Series II Disco's have headgasket troubles.  Better to have it fixed then to use additives that may only make things worse.
